Kit-109 Worlds Hardest Game Clone-Player Movement
Player Movement
This week i worked on player movement for my game successfully making my red square player object have 8 way movement and put it in a small environment to check basic collisions are working. I tried a new way to make movement on the player rather than alter an existing player movement script from previous practical's.
As I missed the Friday tutorial this week I have no feedback from other students to discuss regarding the movement, however i got a little testing done by Dian who found that when you push off a wall on the corner you can make the player spin, it comes right eventually and it doesn't effect any of the movement afterwards. This was not intended, despite being called fun at the time, it will cause problems later on when avoiding enemies.
A quick look in the inspector and I solved the issue by applying a constraint to the Players Z axis.
